Table of Defamation Damages 2005
The Defamation Table of Quantum is published by the Gazette of Law & Journalism. The 2005 edition was prepared with the assistance of Richard Potter, Phillips Fox, Sydney, and Carmel Galati of Edwards Wallace, Perth. Their assistance is gratefully acknowledged.
The table provides details of damages in defamation trials in each State and Territory of Australia over the last 28 years. The imputations pleaded and the appeal outcomes of each case are also published.
